On March 4, 2013 cardinals may decide on the date of election of next pope. The preparations to accommodate cardinals in the Sistine Chapel for the voting will take few days so at present we are expecting the Sistine Chapel to remain closed for up to two weeks, most probably during the second and third week of March. There is a general feeling the Catholic Church should have new Pope for Easter 2013.
Our company will be offering tours of Vatican also during the conclave. Some visitors will feel disappointed as they will not be able to visit the Sistine Chapel. We believe however that in exchange their will keep memories of their visit in this important historic time. We will keep using the most modern technology to enhance our visitors’ tours including virtual visit of the Sistine Chapel with the video and photos.
